Scientific Highlights Include:

- Plenary and Keynote Lectures: Presented by internationally recognized experts, these sessions will cover groundbreaking research and emerging trends in crystallography and structural sciences.

- Thematic Microsymposia: Focused on critical topics such as structural biology, quantum crystallography, pharmaceuticals and medicinal chemistry, materials science, coordination compounds and MOFs, heritage and industrial applications, neutron and synchrotron techniques, and emerging computational methods (including machine learning and AI).

Pre-meeting LACA-ABCr School (October 13–14, 2025):

Fragment Screening by X-ray Crystallography: Targeted at structural biologists and researchers in drug discovery, focusing on fragment-based drug discovery methods.

Small Molecule Structure Determination: Designed for researchers in chemical crystallography and materials science, including practical training in the use of the Cambridge Structural Database (CSD).

I Latin American Powder Diffraction Conference (LAPDiC)
October 13–14, 2025
In parallel with the LACA-ABCr School, the first LAPDiC conference will address current advances and applications in powder diffraction techniques, emphasizing X-ray, neutron, and electron diffraction methods. Topics will include:

Powder diffraction in pharmaceuticals and materials science

Phase identification and quantification
Diffraction under non-ambient conditions
Structure determination and refinement methods from powder data
In situ and operando diffraction studies
Advanced instrumentation and software tools

LAPDiC School (October 11–12, 2025)
Prior to the conference, the LAPDiC School will provide hands-on practical training and theoretical insights on the Pair Distribution Function (PDF) method. This intensive two-day training session will be delivered by international and regional experts, preparing participants with practical skills in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
